Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

MAM College of Engineering (MAMCE) has established the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in compliance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, and the UGC Regulations, 2015 on the Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students in Higher Educational Institutions.

The ICC is committed to creating and maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members of the institution. The committee addresses complaints related to sexual harassment with utmost seriousness, ensuring a fair, impartial, confidential, and timely redressal process.

Sexual Harassment Includes

Sexual harassment may include, but is not limited to:

• Unwelcome physical contact or advances.
• Requests or demands for sexual favours.
• Sexually coloured remarks or inappropriate comments.
• Verbal, non-verbal, or physical conduct of a sexual nature.
• Any behaviour that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment.

Objectives of the ICC

• To prevent incidents of sexual harassment through awareness creation and sensitization programmes.
• To promote a safe, secure, and dignified academic and work environment for all members of the institution.
• To provide an accessible, confidential, and effective grievance redressal mechanism.
• To ensure fair and impartial inquiry into complaints and facilitate timely resolution.
• To uphold the principles of gender equality, mutual respect, and social justice.
• To encourage awareness of rights, responsibilities, and legal provisions related to sexual harassment and gender sensitivity.
